Smok TFV8 Cloud Beast Review
When Smok decided to name its TFV8 tank the ‘Cloud Beast,’ the company knew just what it had in its hand. The Smok TFV8 Cloud Beast is a dream come true for cloud chasers. This tank is an absolute monster in terms of cloud production with its octuple coil heads and 6ml e-liquid capacity. You need a powerful mod that can product up to 100 watts or more to get the best out of the Cloud Beast.
The Smok TFV8 Cloud Beast is a follow up to the company’s TFV4 line. The TFV8 tank line is one of the most popular on the market today among newbies and seasoned vapers.
While this tank is aptly named the Cloud Beast, it is a beauty to look at. The tank is available with a black or stainless steel finish. It comes with orange colored o-rings that add a nice touch to its appearance. The tank is made of high-grade stainless steel, and it has a Pyrex glass tube. The dimensions of the Cloud Beast are 24.5mm by 69mm, and it weighs 74g.
This is one of those tanks that you can feel the quality just by holding it. All the parts are well designed and fit together easily.
The Smok TFV8 tank comes with a wide bore Delrin drip tip which can be removed. The package includes a drip tip adapter that will allow you fit just about any 510 drip tip on this tank.
As indicated above, this tank can hold a massive 6ml of e-liquid. What’s more, it has a top filling design, so you do not have to take it apart in order to fill the tank. To refill the Cloud Beast, all you have to do is press down the top cap and slide it to the side to reveal the side filling hole. Unlike the TFV4 tank, leaking is not an issue with the TFV8 Cloud Beast. The kit includes a spare Pyrex glass in the unlikely scenario that the one which comes with the tank gets damaged. While you will get a blast of the full flavor of your chosen e-juice when vaping with the Cloud Beast tank, beware because it guzzles e-liquid like no one’s business. This tank has been compared to an RDA.
The Smok TFV8 Cloud Beast tank comes pre-installed with a 0.28 ohm dual Clapton RBA coil head. You will find the V8-Q4 quadruple 0.15 ohm coil head in the package as well as a V8-T8 octuple 0.15 coil head. When you install the gigantic V8-T8 octuple 0.15 ohm coil head, the capacity of the tank reduces to 5.5ml of e-juice instead of 6ml. Although the coil heads on the TFV8 tank can handle high wattage, your wicks do not burn.
The RBA coil head that comes with the Cloud Beast has a velocity-style, dual coil build deck. It is easy to work on the build deck of this RBA coil head.
Unlike the four small air flow holes on the TFV4 tank, you will find two large air slots at the lower area of the tank which allows you get maximum vapor when you are vaping. There is a ring that you can slide to adjust the air flow. Under the tank, you will find a 510 threaded connection with a pin that protrudes slightly which reduces the chances of a short circuit.
The TFV8 Cloud Beast is a tank that every vaper needs in their collection. The fact that it gives you different coil head options to pick from is a big plus.
